Fun for all at Berwickshire High School Fete

THE Berwickshire High School will be holding a Fete on Wednesday, September 10, from 6-8pm signalling the start of a year of activities to celebrate the move to the new school building and commemerate 50 years in the current school building.
The Fete will have attractions for all ages. As well as the usual wheel of fortune and bottle stalls there will be bouncy castles, a lads and dads five-a-side football competition, target paintballing and young kids games like splat the rat and a coconut shy.
There will be musical items on a main stage from the schools music department. Emergency services vehicles will be on display (service calls permitting) and you can sit in the Reiver Motorsport Mitsibushi Lancer rally car and have your photo taken.
Coldstream Pipe Band will perform at 6pm and 7pm and there will be a demostration of equestrian vaulting from the local club.
Teas coffees and juice will be provided by the School Home Economics Department and Mackays of Eyemouth will be supplying ice cream.
Members of the school's Science Department will be displaying fun experiments and the school Traidcraft group will have a stall.
This should be a memorable evening and the school extends a warm welcome to anyone in the area who wishes to attend. Entry for pedestrians is free, cars will be charged £1 for parking.
