POLICE are seeking a man following a graffiti attack at Scottish Border Council's headquarters last weekend.
Vandals are thought to have spray-painted slogans on the walls of SBC's HQ in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The graffiti appears to be the work of someone opposed to wind farms and quarrying - "They sell our hills for wind and gravel" were some of the words daubed on the exterior of the Newtown st Boswells building in giant red letters. The incident occured between 3.45-4am on Sunday, February 21 and police a appealing for witnesses.
A suspect has been caught on CCTV and is described as male, 5ft 8 " tall, slim build, wearing dark, possibly blue hooded top with the hood up and a balaclava, or similar, underneath which concealed his face. He was also wearing dark trousers and footwear with a yellow diamond on the sole, possibly 'CAT' boots.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the crime or anyone with any information regarding the suspects to contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131 or Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
