Big weekend beckons for carpet bowlers

IT'S the 'big weekend' for Berwickshire's carpet bowlers with the Berwickshire Carpet Bowling Association tournaments in the Volunteer Hall, Duns, on Saturday and Sunday.

The draws are as follows:

All clubs to provide their own bowls and clubs are responsible foir their care. The association does not provide bowls for these competitions. All clubs to provide a raffle for each day. All monies to be paid to Miss L Brown.

RESULTS
Results of last week's league matches are as follows: Gordon 32 Langton 13 (Gordon won 3-0), Ayton 31 Reston 17 (Ayton won 2½-½), Foulden 21 Westruther 23 (Westruther won 2-1), Hutton 37 Whitsome 13 (Hutton won 3-0), Coldingham 37 Whitsome 12 (Coldingham won 3-0).

FIXTURES
Fixtures for March 3 - Westruther have a free week, Coldingham v Gordon, Hutton v Ayton, Reston v Langton, Whitsome v Foulden.
The Champion of Champions competition will be held on Monday, March 15, at Foulden Hall. Could all clubs have their names to Debra Welsh as soon as possible please (D. Welsh 01361 884325).
