Eyemouth swimmers compete at Tollcross

EYEMOUTH and District Amateur Swimming Club recently competed at the Scottish Short Course Championships held at Tollcross, Glasgow.

Lauren Aisbitt was 12th in the women's 800m freestyle and 15th in the women's 400m freestyle making the 'B' final in the process.

Alix Eastham was also in fine form slashing 17 seconds off her personal bests over five swims.

Charlie Faed also maintained his recent fine form taking two seconds of his 100IM time.

Robyn Flockhart also put in good performances taking 15 seconds off five swims, moving into the top 30 for the women's 50m breaststroke.

In the 4x50m medlay relay and the 4x100m freestyle relay Lauren Aisbitt, Robyn Flockhart, Alix Eastham and Abigail Tait all put in great performances moving them up rankings.

Toby Douglas was also at Tollcross a week later racing in the Scottish Schools Finals on behalf of Chirnside Primary School and he was placed 19th in the under 12s 50m backcrawl.
