PAXTON co-driver Claire Mole returns from New Zealand this week after competing in the World Rally Championship with Kiwi driver Emma Gilmour.
Claire and Emma contested the Rally New Zealand in the Vantage Aluminium Joinery backed Subaru Impreza STi. They finished a fantastic 16th overall and seventh in Group N.
This was also a round of the PWRC and the ladies continually beat many of its
top drivers over the three days setting second fastest time in Group N on the first stage on Sunday morning.
Emma has had a tough year dogged with car set up problems but this was a fantastic performance from all involved in the team. She was second placed Kiwi driver home and it is both Claire and Emma's highest WRC placing to date.
The rally proved a real challenge with its extremely fast stages and huge drops that suddenly turn into narrow slippy technical corners but the ladies are both delighted with the result.
Claire will be back to Scottish Championship business this weekend co-driving for Duns driver Euan Thorburn.
